an orange end
An Orange End, a four-piece band from Tripoli, entered in the music scene in 2007, recording their first promo-single titled “Skyline Playgrounds”. Their attendance in the musical competition Coca-Cola Soundwave with their song “Dance” and its emergence as the favorite song of competition in a European level was the “ticket” for the first big gig abroad. They were invited from the ITC of Manchester festival (festival for unsigned bands), where many important bands have started their career from. It was the first time that a Greek band was appearing in this Festival. Very soon the international festival of directors Radar festival selected them and other three bands from all Europe, so that they shoot a video-clip in London with director the Chinese author Ann Xiao for their song “Murder the Lonely”.
On 23 February 2009, their first album “Lego” was released from Inner-Ear. Sak, bass player of Raining Pleasure, was responsible for the production of “Lego”, while Evira, of Abbie Gale, was in the backing vocals. The references from foreign and local musical sites were numerous and particularly encouraging.
Despite their young age, An Orange End are characterized by a pop sound, that combined with a unique melody, leaves an intense sense of cheerful melancholy.
