neon
Νeon is an experimental electronic group formed by Byron and Chris Setel in 2004 and later joined by Nikos Yussef (musical saw).
They signed to Poeta Negra in 2006 and released their first work, “Au Théâtre Des Sons Imaginaires”.
Two theatrical soundtracks followed in 2007 and 2008 (“Le Chef-d’ Oeuvre Inconnu” and “La Jetée”) and in the summer of 2008 they covered Beethoven and Albinoni for the soundtrack of the theatrical play of Grigoris’ Hatzakis “Kaspar: the story of a man” for the Athens and Epidaurus Festival.
In December 2011 “Morphée” was released n Creative Space, an album that includes both original compositions of the band and some covers of classic works of Eric Satie, Maurice Ravel and Claude Debussy.
At the same time Neon composed music for film and gave concerts in various music scenes and festivals (Synch, Reworks).
In spring 2012 “Kathe Pragmatikotis, Apokroustiki” (Every Reality, Repulsive) is released from Inner Ear, an album in which they set to music 10 poems of Kostas Kariotakis. The songs are performed by Etten, The Boy, Lolek, Vaggelis Stratigakos and Byron.
