MONOVINE is a punk, dirty-pop, grunge and all the clichés, band from Patras, destined to change the patriarchal structure of our beloved society and to teach others and themselves.
Stratos (voice/guitar), Xeno (bass) and Sotiris (drums), with the guidance of The Rat Messiah, Son of Great Mother, they share their music wherever people need it most: from festivals and music clubs/bars to vinyl music stores and home parties.
Monovine sound like Me and You, raw and hungry, with lyrics that move between conflicting situations: search-idleness, creation-self-destruction, denial-acceptance.
Their name doesn’t hide what we are looking for, it is what they want. And their album is coming out on Inner Ear in spring 2011.
